We, as Sıla Group, have completed and activated a new organizational performance within our group by 2013 in order to fulfill the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Law N. 6331 and to provide OSGB (Public Health Safety Unit) service presentation to employers who needs OSGB service procurement. New Occupational Health and Safety Law And Its Requirements
The Occupational Health and Safety Law N.6331 entered into force on 30 June 2012 by its publication. It has started to be implemented with all changes and modifications that will affect both employers and employees.
Employers are obliged to ensure the occupational health and safety of the employees, and accordingly;
To perform activities as to prevent occupational risks, take any measures including training and instructions, make organizations, provide necessary appliance and equipment, adjust health and safety measures to changing conditions and improve current situation,
To monitor and supervise compliance to occupational health and safety measures at workplace and remove non-compliant conditions,
Carring out risk assessment
To take into account the conformity of the worker to the work in respect to health and safety when assigning a work to the worker,
To take necessary measures in order to prevent entrance of the workers other than those equipped with sufficient information and instructions to the safety-critical places.
Anyone who works in private or public sector is entitled to utilize the law. Number of workers at workplace of employee or type of workplace will not be a hindrance to benefiting from the law. The law is also applicable to apprentices and interns.
Every worker will enjoy the applications related to the occupational health and safety and every workplace will have to provide healthy and safe working environments
The most significant support regarding occupational health and safety issues will be provided by Occupational Health and Safety professionals. Occupational health and safety professionals who have received special training and whose professional sufficiency has been guaranteed are the persons qualified in occupational health and safety issues. The law has stipulated availability of occupational safety specialists, workplace doctors and other health personnel both in private and public corporations.
